When the news broke out that a young man coming from a rich adopted family murdered his biological father, the controversy around the case hit a nerve with the public at large. An experimental court session is held in a law school to discuss this curious case. During the process of this court session, 12 Chinese people from different walks of life gather together and discuss the case as a jury on a hot summer day. Through intricate questions, the case which seemed clear at first turns out to be not that clear after all.
