Kameyama Ai is a masseuse who does house calls. She visits the home of a new patient, Inaba Mitsuru who is a manager at a famous brokerage house. Mitsuru had collapsed due to a subarachnoid haemorrhage which rendered him paralysed on his right side. He now has difficulty walking on his own and has lost hope. Ai speaks kindly to Mitsuru as she gives him a massage. Only 30 minutes is covered by insurance. After this, she would come at the same time each week to give him a massage. Within this limited time, Mitsuru starts to trust Ai little by little while Ai finds herself looking forward to seeing him too. One day, Mitsuru wets himself and gives into despair, and Ai is taken off as his masseuse. She is concerned about him in spite of this. Then, she learns that he has stopped rehabilitation and given his helper the sack. Not wanting Mitsuru to give up on life, Ai is unable to contain herself and visits him in his home. Even though her interference is not welcome, she genuinely worries about him. Mitsuru tries to open up to her. At this moment, Ai takes Mitsuru on a ride on her motorbike but they get into an accident. Although Mitsuru gets away with bruises, one of Ai’s legs has sustained compound fractures and she loses the ability to walk normally.
