Eun Seon goes to the countryside to take care of her poet husband, but after he passes away she goes to Seoul with her husband's student, Min Woo. Having no parents, who passed away after an accident, Eun Seon goes to her friend, who is a proprietress, and finds work while she takes care for Min-u who has nowhere to go. While they do, they fall in love. But Min Woo gets hurt after working on a construction site, and to earn the hospital bills, Eun Seon sells herself to the president of the company where she works and joins her friend in a bar. Min Woo misunderstands her and leaves her house. Having nowhere to go, he entered a house as a tutor of a classmate, Suk Hui, who fell in love with him but leaves after feeling pressure for her affection for him. Eun Sun enters Seok Hui's house as a housekeeper and finding out that the person Seok Hui loves is Min Woo, Eun Seon tries to persuade Seok Hui's father, who felt attracted to her, to agree to their marriage and she leaves the house. Going to a bar with his friend, after his graduation, Min Woo finds Eun Seon working there. Eun Seon avoids him and goes out with another man. Riding the car that doesn't head for her house, she tries to steer the wheel and has an accident. She dies while Min Woo watches over her. Min Woo and Seok Hui stands in front of Eun Seon's grave together.
