The series begin with a cooking match for the title of Best Cook. Sam Yut San goes against his master Chun Man Sek for the title. During the match, Yut San accidentally sneezes some pepper onto his master's dish, which causes Man Sek to lose. It was the first time Man Sek lost, and due to the shock, he runs out of the building and goes missing for years.

Three years later, due to a rival restaurant across the street doing very well, with the great chef Kiu Pak Ko, Yut San buys his master's restaurant to help them with their restaurant business. Man Sek had handed over the restaurant to his daughter, Chun So So, who ironically cannot cook.
What they did not know was Yut San's real identity and why he is trying to help them.
