Reporter So-yeon is contacted by her childhood friend Sang-joon who recently escaped from a mental institution and reportedly murdered 18 people. He promises to give her exclusive access to his story if she specifically agrees to bring along a Japanese cameraman. When So-yeon and the cameraman arrive, Sang-joon explains that he's now murdered a total of 25 people in an attempt to bring about a "miracle" promised to him by the voice of God. He believes that another childhood friend both he and So-yeon knew named Yoon-jin would be brought back to life after he completes his killing spree.
