As a child, Hiromi (Miyoko Yoshimoto) was abused by her own mother. As she grows up, she cannot be together with a man she truly loves, and is betrayed by her best friend, Chikako (Chiaki HARA). Hiromi decides to raise a girl as her own daughter when her best friend, Chikako left her, but later on only when Hiromi seems to have found a peaceful life, the daughter finds out Hiromi is not her real mother and things get into turmoil again.
