Han Shik's father returns from the United States after getting a serious back injury. His father, who had been working as an illegal immigrant in the U.S., could not get any medical care there. Han Shik loses interest in life after he spends his tuition on his father's hospital bills. He begins working in a factory with Kahn, Jakhi and Bhuto who are working illegally in Korea. Their fellow Korean workers treat these foreign laborers harshly.
