In 1940, the Japanese occupied the Harbin City of Manchuria. Zhao Zi Lan is the keeper of Harbin’s largest inn trusted by the Japanese. Lin Zhuo Ying was mistakenly sent by the Communist Party from Yan’an to Harbin to perform the task of supporting the anti-union and was mistaken for Zhao Zi Lan's husband who died for five years. In order to complete the mission, Lin Zhuo Ying will be acting as Zhao Zi Lan's man, staying at the inn. He successfully responded to various temptations and gradually he is able to influence Zhao Zi Lan.
