Childhood friends, Takamura Kazuya and Washio Seiji, live opposite lives following their graduating from high school 20 years ago. Kazuya is a police officer, while Seiji is a yakuza member. One day, Kazuya, who had done a distinguished service in arresting an offender who violated the Narcotics Control Law, is promoted to a detective, which was his long-cherished wish. However, it was a plan made by Seiji to fulfill Kazuya's wish.
Before long, a conflict broke out between the organization Seiji belonged to and and a rival organization. Kazuya tries to make contact with v for the purpose of the investigation but becomes involved in the gang war.
