A token of gratitude marks the start to a happy relationship between a dim-witted yet adorkable husband and his fox fairy wife. Fox girl Yu Ji was lucky enough to be saved by Wang Tai Chang from a thunder trial that could've cost her life. In order to repay him, she marries off her daughter Xiao Cui to Wang Tai Chang's son, Yuan Feng. On their wedding night, Xiao Cui finds Yuang Feng to be incredibly easy to fool so she tries to use her beauty to trick him into breaking off their marriage. Yuan Feng refuses and stands up for Xiao Cui time and again. Meanwhile, fox girl Zi Yu has sent Yin Li to capture humans to help her cultivate as she needs to grow in power in order to save a man named Yuan Sheng.
