Jang Baek Soo, upon graduating college he attended with devoted help of his parents, joins the army as if he was running away from the society. After he is discharged from the army, he tries to get a job without much luck for three years. He wishes to get a decent job, make his parents proud, and marry Eun Shil, the girl next door, but it is not working out at all. One day, he meets Suk Hee, sympathizes with her vain hope and angst yet fatigued by her unrealistic and unrestricted behavior. Moreover, Yuk, the president of a company, who tries to seduce Eun Shil with money and power, is yet another thing to worry about. Yuk attempts to threaten Baek Soo using violence but he does not give up.
