Ha-young is a urologist who is proud of her independent lifestyle. Disturbed by the prevalent attitude of men around her who think an independent woman is easy and that sex is only for physical enjoyment, she decides to overcome the pressures of marriage and family by getting artificially inseminated. Sun-woo is an opportunistic reporter for a local magazine. When he meets Ha-young for a story, he finds himself acutely attracted to her. But Ha-young regards him as simply an worldly animal. She is only concerned for the baby growing inside her and has no time or need for a man in her life. She is full of hope for her unborn child and its future. When Sun-woo finds out that Ha-young is pregnant from artificial insemination, he feels at odds with his feelings. But the birth of Ha-young's child brings these two together. They begin to learn the true meaning of love and commitment.
