Ye Bai He is a store manager under Fei Long Jewelry Company. Being unable to conceive after 8 years of marriage brought upon harsh treatment from her mother in-law, Sun Chang Mei, and distaste from her husband, Zhuang Zi Yue. In the end, she divorced Zhuang Zi Yue due to his extramarital affair but even after the divorce, she continued to take care of her ex-mother in-law. Bai He lost both her parents and due to her stepmother's gambling, her father's house was sold. Bai He's stepmother had no choice but to live with Bai He and creates a tense atmosphere in the house with Bai He's ex-mother in-law. Their quarrels ultimately lead to Bai He being ranked down from store manager to cleaning staff. Luo Cheng appears to make Bai He's life even messier. He's hired in Bai He's store and shows excellent performance, gaining the interest of Fei Long Jewelry Company's owner, Shen Bing Yan. As time goes on, Ye Bai He becomes the stepping stone for Luo Cheng and his mysterious plan.
