In the movie, Souta Fukushi is Yukio Asao, an apathetic college student. Suddenly he was accused of murder. The only think he can remember is one night, he is suddenly wrapped in a ray of light coming from the sky, and the next thing he knew is that he is in an interrogation room.

While desperately trying to fight against the allegations of a crime he has no memory of, a lawyer named Sawako (played by Megumi Seki) explains to him that he has traveled 25 years into the future. In this unknown future, time travel has become possible. A law has been established to eliminate future criminals by bringing them forward from the past and publicly executing them.
