Mal Soo who used to be a mechanic before enlisted in the army and Joo Gong who got enlisted while he was attending an art college become soldiers of higher rank after strenuous time as private first class. The life of the members of the 3rd platoon they belong to leaves many stories to be told. In the mean time, Joo Gong spends restless days worrying over his girlfriend Shi Ra whose mind is wandering. Master sergeant Choo in their platoon who is an exemplary soldier undertakes all matters of the unit receiving respect of the soldiers. Months later, Master sergeant Choo gets transferred to the reserved army as he hits retirement age and Mal Soo and Joo Gong are discharged from service. After going through much hardships, Joo Gong gets married with Shi Ra and reunite with Choo creating a special bonding between them.
