Following the hit Shitsurakuen series, this drama series captures the trials of middle-aged life and confirms that fervent passion is not the exclusive property of youth. It also highlights current issues facing both men and women who favor career jobs over traditional roles. After having aborted her lover's baby, thirty-four-year-old Fuyuko undergoes an emergency hysterectomy and feels a loss of womanhood as she gives up her dreams of marriage and children. Kishi is caught between his enduring love for Fuyuko and his wife's desire to keep their family together.
