Tozuka Osamu is a divorced, struggling middle-aged manga artist with no hope of getting ahead. Along with his only daughter Rumi, assistant Aramaki Hirohiko who lives together with them, his editor in charge Adachi Toru, childhood friend Torikai Akio who is the owner of a restaurant offering set meals, he gets involved in the tragedies and comedies of life.
