Ki Tae possesses a child's innocence ever since he had brain damage. Ki Wook rejects any kind of human relationships because of his mother's forbidden love affairs. These brothers have boring but peaceful lives, when abruptly, a roughly dressed drunk woman, Myung Ja and her daughter Maria enter their lives. They stay at an inn and naturally become friends with the two brothers. Myung Ja's unfamiliar temptation destroys Ki Wook and leads Ki Tae, who is unaware of his brother's subtle emotions, shyly towards Myung Ja. Reading his brother's mind, Ki Wook, hiding his lust, matches his brother with Myung Ja. Myung Ja becomes the lady of the inn and leads a happy life whereas Ki Wook falls into corruption. One stormy day in summer, Ki Wook foolishly lets himself be seduced by Myung Ja, and has an unacceptable love affair.
