This film tells the stories of students fighting for liberation from Japanese rule, especially focusing on the Gwangju student democratisation. Sang Hoon, the son of the independent governor, works as a member of the Sungjin Association, an anti-Japanese independence movement, along with the right-minded Korean. Their spiritual landlord is Song Mun In, a Chinese-language teacher. One day, Yeong Ae, who had a high-ranking criminal brother in the Sungjin society, is also involved.
