The seventh of the 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty series deals with the reigns of In Jo, Hyo Jong and Hyeon Jong in the 17th Century. The period in which In Jo ruled was marked by General Yi Gwal's rebellion, the two invasions by the Manchu, and subsequent breakdown of the economy. His successors, Hyo Jong and Hyeon Jong, spent most of their time on the throne attempting to restore the kingdom.
