The Aimless Bullet (Obaltan) is a Korean classic, which captured the social issues at its extremities in Korea of the late 1950s. Song Cheol-ho (Kim Jin-kyu), a clerk at an accounting office in Seoul, attempts to support his mentally ill mother, his pregnant wife, his lonely sister, his two children, and Yeong-ho, his aimless younger brother. Cheol-ho barely makes enough money to feed his family, and is forced live with his toothache, unable to fund to see a dentist. Chul-ho's grief is added when his younger sister, Myeong-suk, has been caught by the police for prostitution.
