Nobuo Mizuta is a Japanese television drama director and film director from Hiroshima City.

He graduated from Hiroshima City Municipal Funerary High School. Harada Shinji was his high school classmate. After joining Nippon Television in 1981 after graduating from Nihon University College of Arts he was involved in the production of TV dramas.
