Baron Chen is a Taiwanese actor and model. His late father was a reputed gang leader in Taiwan. Baron graduated from the Chinese Cultural University in Taipei with a degree in tourism. He then studied at the Beijing Film Academy. He started appearing on TV variety shows and music videos, and received positive recognition for his debut performance in the film, Kung Fu Dunk (2008).
He rose to fame playing the second male lead in the record-breaking idol-drama series, Fated to Love You (2008). From then on, he started receiving leading roles in dramas such as Because of You (2010), Butterfly Sword (2010), My Daughter (2011) and Battle of the Beauty (2012). He also continued with roles in films such as The Treasure Hunter (2009), Moonlight Love (2012) and No Losers (2012).
