Ohnishi Teppei works at a bank, and recently, he had just been transferred back to the bank's branch "Sanuki Udon Financing" in his hometown in Takamatsu, Kagawa. One day, the wife of one of the local udon shop owner, Shigematsu Naoko, walks into the bank to try to get a loan to finance their shop's relocation. However, her husband, Haruhiko, is actually against the idea of moving. Before he knows it, Teppei is caught in the middle of the couple's fight. Is this a banker's job? As he gets more and more discouraged by the situation, his boss, Mihara Goro, and his childhood friend, Ando Yukari, both try to cheer him on. Slowly, the values he has held on to to-date, begin to change and evolve. How should a banker live his life? In the end, Teppei gets an answer to this question that has been troubling him...
