Written by Thailand National Artist Thomayantee, Sapan Dao is story of rag to riches of Jak, son of American GI & Thai prostitute mother and his retarded half Thai half black half -brother. The author did a good job at showing that you can not choose where you were born into, but you can choose to be a good person. Jak fell in love with a wealthy banker's daughter name Poupee. One day faith forced him to choose between the girl of his dreams and his retarded brother, who do you think he chose?
