Secret Battle of the Majesty chronicles the last years of Emperor Kangxi's reign, when nine of the princes vied fiercely for the throne.

Secret Battle of the Majesty's Part I revolves around the imperial court conflicts caused by the Fourth Prince Yinzhen (Kwong Wa) and the Eighth Prince Yinsi (Berg Ng), while Part II centers on the sibling feud between Yinzhen - now Emperor Yongzheng - and the camp led by the Fourteenth Prince Yinti (Lawrence Yan).
