After his father-in-law's death, Akiyoshi Hiromasa, his wife and mother-in-law ask Hiromasa to succeed his father-in-law and run for mayor. Hiromasa agrees and is elected mayor. He begins reforms as a novice mayor, while he struggles with family matters. Through all of this, Hiromasa is able to find his true self.
