We follow a transformative time for 14-year-olds during a summer and winter in Obu city, Aichi Prefecture. Arham is a junior high school kid from the Brazilian community kicking around doing a whole lot of nothing. Classmates Chiemi, who comes from the same background, has a talent for art but is seeking to define what she wants in life while basketball player Suzuka is new in town and is seeking comradeship. The quartet is complete with Eiichiro, a loner. The four are brought together by a workshop run by Kishitani Rei, an inspirational adult who gets them to look at their home of Obu city with new eyes, thus helping them move forward in their own lives.
