Ten nightmarish, surreal interpretations of novelist Natsume Souseki's Ten Nights of Dreams. Each director creates a unique vision – a 1904 noodle house manned by automatons, a giant tentacled pet, a techno-dancing master sculptor. With the absurd invading the mundane, subconscious creatures coming to life, malleable time and constant disorientation, the dream world manifests despite the characters’ perceptions of what appears to be reality.
