Asami is about to graduate from college. One rainy day, she offers her umbrella to Mayama, a Psychology instructor who was her mother's lover, and Asami's real father, though he doesn't know it. As they keep meeting each other, Asami realizes how much her dead mother means to him. Meanwhile, Mayama’s girlfriend Izumi, unable to find her own place in his heart, has resolved to leave him. Seeing Mayama in torment, tied to his past, Asami decides to set his heart free.
