The Last Verse follows the love story of Ren Jie and Xiao Ping, and details of it unfolding through hardships and the many obstacles of life. They first meet in their mid-twenties, but their joyous youth together is disrupted by a visit from Ren Jie's father, and soon multiple factors pull the two apart. Meeting again several years later, the question is: can their love be reborn, and will the strong bond between them last?
