Miyuki is a lonely young woman who works as a coffee shop waitress and pines for her upstairs neighbor Yoshinori (Kazuma Suzuki), a rock musician. Desperate to know the details of Yoshinori's life, but to shy to actually talk to him, Miyuki steals his garbage, and then sets up a shrine to her love object in the living room of her desolate Tokyo flat. She stores his cigarette butts in a jar; she proudly wears the denim jacket he's discarded; and, seething with jealousy, she hurls one of his used condom against the wall. And so on. Meanwhile, she rebuffs the pathetic advances of a nerdy businessman (Toda Masahiro), whose idea of a romantic date includes a trip to the batting cages.
