Tora-san's younger sister Sakura invites her aunt and uncle to a spa trip in Kyushu right when Tora-san comes back home! During his lonely stay at home, he determines to treat his family nicer when they come back. One day, Tora-san meets one of his old classmates, and he introduces his younger sister Ritsuko to Tora-san. Ritsuko came from a wealthy family, but she insists on being a painter and has to suffer from poverty. Tora-san is attracted to her, but she is already in love with another man.
