Guk is a country bumpkin who has just transferred to a school in Seoul. She falls head over heels for Jun Soo, the most popular guy in school. As her crush on him grows, they spend the night together. The two students' families are thrown into chaos and Guk suffers a miscarriage due to an accident. Guk’s mother sends her away to the US hoping that her daughter will be able to lead a new life there. 12 years later, Guk has changed her name to Dal Rae and looks completely different after reconstructive plastic surgery following her accident. Headhunted as a successful professional, she returns to her homeland of Korea. She is the youngest team leader at H department store which turns out to be where Jun Soo is working as well. The accident 12 years ago has completely changed Jun Soo and the arrogant high school heart-throb is nowhere to be found. Jun Soo does not recognize Guk. He even professes his love for Dal Rae, not knowing that Dal Rae is Guk from his high school days. Dal Rae does not know what to make of the situation, as things have taken a complete 180-degree turn from 12 years ago. Will Dal Rae accept Jun Soo as fate keeps bringing them together? Or will she choose to have a completely new relationship?
