My Fair Son director Cui Zi'en weaves this post-socialist, dysfunctional family drama about a gay Beijing high school student with an unhealthy fixation on his twin sister. Feng may be gay, but his attraction to his sister Wen borders on obsessive. The two siblings currently share a room together, though lately, Wen has been considering the prospect of striking out on her own. Hoping to keep a short leash on his sister, Feng recruits his gay best friend to become involved in a relationship with her. If he can control the relationship, reasons Feng, he can maintain his unusual connection to Wen. But despite all of Feng's planning, the plan backfires, sparking a chain reaction of unexpected events that may prove beneficial to all involved.
