The story will center around the Japanese city of Tokoname in Aichi prefecture, which is well known for its ceramics. Over 100 years ago, famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright reached out to Kichinosuke Hisada to procure yellow bricks rather than traditional red bricks for the construction of the exterior of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Before construction was completed, Hisada tragically lost his arm due to illness. The series will follow a dramatized version of the actual events based on a book created from accounts of the people who worked on the construction of the hotel.
